Solar Parking Lot Lights Retrofit

Replacing conventional solar parking lot lights can be easy since enkonn’s solar lights come with an integrated design. The lamp body incorporates a solar system, LED lights, and motion sensors. 

Because it is a solar-powered lighting fixture, you do not need to consider wiring and electricity bills. Furthermore, the LED light source can be very powerful. If your old lighting fixture uses 500-watt metal halides, now you only need enkonn’s 100-watt LED. This means that with the same battery size, the autonomy days can be enhanced to 2-3 times. Or if your client only needs 3-5 days of autonomy, by replacing it with enkonn’s LED parking lot lights, you will need a smaller battery, which means another kind of cost reduction.

Solar Parking Lot Lights With Pole

Enkonn offers solar parking lot lights with poles; Enkonn’s solar light poles support not only integrated solar street lights (All-in-One) but also semi-integrated solar street lights (All-in-Two), which require discrete arms to support LED lights.

For all-in-one types, we provide tapered poles with diameters of 60-70; for all-in-two types, the length of the arm depends on the lighting distribution design. (Our engineering team uses IES files to simulate the lighting distribution for clients before the installation of the project.)

However, since our solar parking lot lights do not need wiring, you can also assemble them directly to the existing poles. There is no need to dig and bury poles through concrete or asphalt lots.

Cost of Solar Parking Lot Light

The cost of solar-powered LED parking lot lights depends on the watts (30-400 watts) and settings, such as the size of the solar panel, battery types, battery size, pole types, and solar charge controller size. 

Usually, the price varies from $300 to $1000, which includes the poles, solar system, and light fixtures.

Commonly, Enkonn’s solar parking lot lights can stand up to 3-5 rainy or cloudy days, but some regions have long rainy seasons; we would try to enhance its autonomy days by increasing solar panels and battery capacity. However, if the rainy season can last up to 15 days or 1 month, we would like to recommend using a hybrid system, which can use utility electricity when the battery power is less than 10% and it is not possible to charge from the solar panel because of a lack of sunlight.

Parking Lot Light Color Temperatures

Solar parking lot lights can choose different color temperatures; however, the most appropriate color temperature could be nature white, which ranges from 4000 to 5000 Kelvin, since 4000-5000K is close to the natural sunlight color during the daytime, which is very suitable for outdoor lighting.

Warm white (3000-4000K) is kind of yellowish and is most commonly used in homes to provide a warm, cozy atmosphere, while cool white (6000-7000K) is usually used in offices, which adds a little bit of bluish color that most Western people with blue eyes do not prefer. They do not favor cool white color temperature.

Most people find it hard to identify human faces or surrounding environments under traditional lights, such as metal halide, which emits an orangish color, because those older technology lights have a low color rendering index (CRI), usually around 50-60. However, new technology LED lights can offer up to 90 CRI; we usually use 70+ CRI for outdoor lighting to save costs, but 70+ CRI is very effective at rendering the true colors of objects in the parking lot.
